The ceremony was headlined by 5 major particular person scholar awards. The winners were chosen from 145 nominations that came from college students, faculty, and staff. The ceremony was headlined by 5 main particular person student awards. The winners have been selected from a hundred forty five nominations that got here from college students, faculty, and staff. Mission in Action Award: Brad Waters, Global MBA. The Carey Mission in Action Award honors the coed who best embodies the basic beliefs of Carey’s mission. Waters was honored for his volunteer commitments and leadership initiatives, in addition to his contribution to researc h on the varsity’s motto “business with humanity in mind” with the OneCarey marketing campaign. Carey Networking Award: Siwen Tang, MS Enterprise Risk Management. The Carey Networking Award honors the coed who best builds neighborhood and creates meaningful professional relationships. Tang was honored for her work with the Risk Management Club, which she co-based. The membership organized several workshops, a trek to the Bloomberg monetary media company in New York, a go to to the World Bank, and several other speaker events. Carey Brand Ambassador Award: Tomas Solari Yrigoyen, MS Enterprise Risk Management. The Carey Brand Ambassador Award is awarded to the coed who best communicates the model of Johns Hopkins University and Carey. Solari was honored for his function in main the latest TEDxJHUDC event held on Feb. 18. The first-of-its-kind occasion featured a number of speakers and was well attended by college students from Carey, the Krieger School of Advanced Academic Progr ams, and SAIS. Carey Community Build Award: Alina Predescu, Flexible MBA. The Community Builder Award is presented to the coed who makes efforts to reinforce the Carey experience for current and future college students. Predescu was honored for her function in creating Carey’s first membership catered to half-time college students: Carey Connect. Carey Connect has organized several profitable occasions and created many useful partnerships with other Johns Hopkins organization due to Predescu’s efforts. Carey Leadership Excellence Award: Gavyn Ooi, Global MBA. The Carey Leadership in Excellence Award is offered to the student who most exemplifies the Carey best of leading with integrity. Ooi served as president of Carey’s Student Government Association in Baltimore. In this function, he led a number of initiatives on the college, including the OneCarey campaign and symposium that explored the future of Carey’s motto “business with humanity in thoughts.” Posted 100 International Drive
